The video for “This Is The Tide” rolls out a culture/time-period fusion, featuring clips of ’20s-era dance numbers of pinups doing high kicks and the band’s drummer wearing a Sir Francis Drake frilly tunic, interspersed with a bacchanalian feast that probably resembles a flapper version of the Dandys’ past 15 years together. The song itself is fast-paced garage rock, with swift percussion and Rolling Stones guitar chords, showing that Courtney Taylor-Taylor and Co. might need to make a post-2007 hits compilation.
