Ruby Isle—Mark Mallman, Dan Geller (Kindercore Records co-founder) and Aaron LeMay (International Espionage)—plays dance music for the indie-rock set. The trio has recorded dance-floor versions of songs by the likes of Animal Collective, the Decemberists, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, Sonic Youth and more. Now the trio has taken on its most ambitious cover project: Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite For Destruction album. With guest appearances from Nicole Godiva (Waxx Maxx) and Har Mar Superstar, Ruby Isle has successfully pulled off a track-by-track recreation of the classic ’80s album.
