Not that we know from firsthand experience or anything, but the subject matter of the new Christmas song from the Davenports is something we can all relate to. The Brooklyn band’s “Whore For The Holidays” (Mother West) is about the employee who takes things too far at the office holiday party. Sample lyric: “Decorum is for fools/Tied to their cubicles/You know the normal rules no longer apply once Bing Crosby plays.” The Davenports have a new album, Why The Great Gallop, due out next month.
