A year and a half after its first release, Portland, Ore.’s Starfucker returns with sophomore album Reptilians, due March 8 on Polyvinyl. Much like the band’s earlier tracks, first single “Bury Us Alive” is both dolorous and danceable: Trilling synths mix with understated vocals that will either depress or uplift. Reptilians promises to walk a similar line, exploring themes of death, apocalypse and the lectures of spiritualist philosopher Alan Watts.
