Hipster folk/pop pixie Jenny O. boasts an impressive resume, having performed for the New York All State Symphony Orchestra and sung for the L.A. Ladies Choir. Yet her music doesn’t pull up in a Rolls Royce-flashing orchestral-pedigree bling. Instead, it pedals around on a sunny, Humboldt County, free-spirit dance number that showcases her talent in a sweet, accessible fashion. The video for “Well OK Honey,” off her Home EP (Manimal), follows her and her friends as they kick it on fixed-gear bikes and frolic among the redwoods of Northern California. The song itself sounds like it should be featured in one of those ’60s-nostalgia-massaging flicks, with a plucky, conversational guitar, storyline base and O.’s relaxed, old-soul vocals.
