Sucre Du Sauvage is the latest album from Quintron, and it’s out April 12 via the Goner label. The 14-track LP (its title translates to “sugar of the savages”) was created as part of a three-month exhibition and installation with longtime collaborator Miss Pussycat at the New Orleans Museum of Modern Art last year. Quintron mostly ignored the museum patrons while recording Sucre Du Sauvage, although he sometimes used them for backing vocals, handclaps and the like.
