Noah Lennox, also known as Panda Bear of Animal Collective fame, emerged earlier this year from a long hibernation after the 2007 release of Person Pitch with Tomboy (Paw Tracks). The songs on Tomboy are expansive and atmospheric, relying on Lennox’s distinctive vocals and cyclic melodies. Unlike on Person Pitch, the new LP sees Lennox moving away from heavy sampling for a lighter if not less intricate sound.
