Film At 11: Amy Bezunartea

Singer/songwriter Amy Bezunartea‘s debut album, the John Agnello-produced Restaurants & Bars, came out in November on Jennifer O’Connor’s Kiam label. Though she’s now based in Brooklyn, Bezunartea grew up in the Southwest with two musical parents. “My family had Indian jewelry stores and souvenir shops throughout Arizona and New Mexico, and we spent a lot of time in the car traveling from store to store,” she says. “We listened to eight-tracks—Patsy Cline, Slim Whitman, Loretta Lynn, Sons Of The Pioneers—and that’s how I started singing.” Though it’s now officially summer, we are proud to premiere “Amy’s Spring Tune” today on magnetmagazine.com.
