Paley & Francis was recorded in two days last year after the duo spent a mere three afternoons writing the songs … Hugh Laurie (of House, M.D. fame) took a break from acting to record his debut album, Let Them Talk, which will be released by Warner Bros. on September 6. The New Orleans blues record features Laurie and a team of musicians reinterpreting songs by the likes of Lead Belly, Robert Johnson, Ray Charles, Memphis Slim and more … This fall, Nick Lowe is supporting Wilco on its North American tour. The pairing is fitting considering Wilco recently covered Lowe’s “I Love My Label.” Lowe has a new album, The Old Magic, coming out September 13 via Yep Roc … July 14, 2009, saw the Jesus Lizard reunite for its first American performance in more than 10 years.
