Reviving American gothic, Evelyn Evelyn’s self-titled debut (on the Eleven label) is as mysterious as the women behind it. With the help of punk maven Amanda Palmer and Jason Webley, conjoined twins Lyn and Eva Neville are former circus performers whose past is as fantastic as fiction. The Neville twins began their solo act at the age of 19, and their affinity for Joy Division and sirens like the Andrews Sisters is evident in their music, resulting in brooding numbers reminiscent of Vaudeville show tunes. Palmer and Webley are taking the sisters on a short tour in Edinburgh this August, and to celebrate, they just released an animated video for “Sandy Fishnets.” Watch it below.
