Ward and Zooey Deschanel, a.k.a. She & Him, are preparing for the holiday season early this year with the release of A Very She & Him Christmas on October 25 via Merge Records … On November 1, RCA Records will issue Talahina Sky on DVD and Blu-ray. It’s a documentary exploring the formation of Kings Of Leon, featuring home videos, unedited interviews and behind-the-scenes footage … Bonnie Prince Billy’s new album, Wolfroy Goes To Town, will be released by Drag City on October 4 … A deluxe edition of the self-titled debut from Yuck is out on October 11 via Fat Possum. The two-disc release will feature six bonus tracks and will be supported by a North American tour this fall … Some Girls Live In Texas 1978 is a DVD/Blu-ray release featuring the Rolling Stones’ 1978 U.S. tour and is out October 21 via Eagle Vision … Speaking of, Bill Wyman’s post-Stones work with the Rhythm Kings will be collected onto a five-disc boxed set and released October 25 via Proper American. The set features appearances from Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Peter Frampton and more … Sarah Jaffe’s new album, The Way Sound Leaves A Room, will be available September 27 on Kirtland Records, and it’s being issued alongside a DVD of her live performance at her sold-out Wyly Theatre show in Dallas … November 22 will see the return of the Duke Spirit, with the release of third album Bruiser via Shangri-La … The Duke Spirit also teamed up with Panic! At The Disco, Coheed And Cambria, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and others to record Batman: Arkham City, inspired by the influences of Batman and the upcoming video game. Watertower Music will release the album on October 4, and special collector’s editions of the game will include an album download … The Ballad Of Mott The Hoople is a feature-length documentary featuring rare archive footage and testimonies from band members of Mott The Hoople. It’s out November 15 … Starting September 15, Peter Hook & The Light will perform Joy Division albums Closer and Unknown Pleasures in full for audiences all over North America.
