“Even If I Don’t” starts out like a headstrong lover’s anthem, but don’t let that sweet-and-sultry voice of Rachael Yamagata fool you; she’s singing about tough subjects like a passionate relationship she once had and that moment when you wonder if you could ever return back to it all. It’s a heartbreaking tune about missing the one you love, displayed through carefree scenes and a strange pairing of a bunny and tiger traipsing around that follows Yamagata’s close narration. The video was shot by Yamagata’s brother, Josh Ruben. “Even If I Don’t” is off Chesapeake (Frakenfish), her first studio album in three years, and will be released October 11th.
