R.E.M. is finally releasing a greatest-hits album that spans its entire career, from the blockbuster singles to the lesser-known tunes from the IRS days. Although news that the 31-year-old band split has saddened us, it’s comforting to know the band leaves behind a legacy of life-changing songs. The retrospective, Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage, comes out November 11 via Warner Bros. and includes three new songs recorded after this year’s Collapse Into Now.
