Charming English indie band Noah And The Whale came to prominence with 2008 debut Peaceful. “Waiting For My Chance To Come” is off the group’s Last Night On Earth (Mercury), and the remix is by prominent British producer Bibio. Surprisingly, the remix infuses a lot of different sounds into the song. It’s a jazzy club number with a whole lotta cowbell; it’s a punchy, electronic dance beat; it’s a song with vocal alterations that brings to mind Daft Punk. Although a departure from Noah’s more laid-back, folksy sound, it seems like a natural fit nonetheless. The band is currently touring throughout the U.S. and Mexico this month.
