Brett Netson, a wandering bearded rock guitarist, has been playing music with the likes of Built To Spill, Mark Lanegan and Caustic Resin since the early ’90s and was an integral part of the indie-music explosion during that time. Over the course of the years, the man has been absorbing the various musical styles that have come and gone, and that careful observation is what led Netson to release his first album of solo music, Simple Work For The Dead via The New Black Records. The LP is a serious look at the materialism and greed in American society, inspired by his 15-plus years of travel around the country. “God Is Wrong” is a reflective, sonically dense track with intricate acoustic guitar work, and you can download it below.
