Bon Iver‘s video for “Towers,” off the band’s self-titled LP (on Jagjaguwar), is poetic and shot beautifully, thanks to Nabil Edlerkin, who directed the clip. It was shot in Washington state on what was mostly Indian-preserved land. Mystic is the protagonist in the video and lived in the woodlands, where he built towers made of wood. The towers were his life and grew to be as high as 100 feet. One day as Mystic was rowing out to sea to the towers, one collapsed and so did Mystic. The towers may represent a number of different things. Watch the video below.
