Americana is the first LP from Neil Young & Crazy Horse in nearly nine years, and it’s due out June 5 via Reprise Records. The album is a collection of classic folk songs such as “Oh Susannah” and “This Land Is Your Land” … The Flaming Lips are celebrating Record Store Day (April 21) with the release of The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends (Warner Bros.), which features the band’s collaborations with the likes of Yoko Ono, Nick Cave, Chris Martin, Bon Iver and more. This album will be available as completely unique, multi-colored vinyl housed in custom art jackets and will not be re-pressed once it’s sold out … On June 12, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals is issuing fourth studio album The Lion The Beast The Beat (Hollywood), which includes three collaborations with Dan Auerbach (Black Keys). The band will also make its Coachella debut in April … Documentary filmmaker Gorman Bechard has turned his focus to Hüsker Dü’s Grant Hart, who will be the subject of Every Everything. The first cut of the feature-length film will be ready by fall … Orange Mountain Music is issuing a remix record featuring the work of Philip Glass on June 26. The project—which was made with the help of contributors such as Beck, Ty Braxton, Amon Tobin, Cornelius and many more—joins in the celebration of Glass’s 75th birthday this year … The digitally restored version of the Beatles’ 1968 animated film Yellow Submarine will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on May 29, along with the film’s soundtrack, via Capitol … Speaking of, former Beatle Paul McCartney’s 1971 album with Linda McCartney, RAM will be reissued with new and exclusive content including a deluxe-edition boxed set … The 4oth anniversary of David Bowie’s The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars will be celebrated with a remastered version of the album, complete with previously unreleased material, on June 5 via EMI … The Smiths’ entire remastered catalog—featuring all eight of the band’s releases—was released as a boxed set last fall, and as of April 3, you will now be able to buy each individual remastered album from the collection via Rhino … The Cherry Thing is a collaborative effort between Neneh Cherry and jazz trio the Thing, and it’s set for a June 19 release on Smalltown Supersound.
