Mairi Morrison & Alasdair Roberts have collaborated to create the unique Urstan (Drag City). Originally from Scotland, Morrison and Roberts wanted to produce a collection of songs that reflected traditional Gaelic and Scottish tunes as well as one original song. Opening Urstan is the Gaelic “Mile Marbhphaisg Air A’ Ghaol” (try saying that three times really fast), which means “a thousand curses upon love,” setting the tone of the album perfectly.
