Dum Dum Girls have a new bassist, and apparently, she is also the band’s new video director. “Coming Down” is Malia James’ debut, pocked throughout with anti-consumerism and heartbreak, let alone the thick, almost creamlike voice of singer Dee Dee. Bordering on pseudo-striptease, “Coming Down” is certainly interesting, if slightly predictable; then again, that’s all right considering the slow, pondering nature of the ballad.
