Singer/songwriter/violinist/guitarist/whistler Andrew Bird is one of those artists who practically came out of the womb with an instrument in hand. His musical genius was unleashed when he picked up the violin at age four, and off he flew, plucking prestigious degrees and record deals along the way, while crafting a signature sound by blending various styles and genres. The instinctive Break It Yourself (Mom + Pop) is Bird’s sixth studio LP, and in the video for album track “Eyeoneye,” he goes arts and crafts, using cutout animation to illustrate his mournful observations of a “Boy and girl, two eyes/Too rigid, all the sadness/A hundred stories high.” Watch the clip below.
