Moonface is the latest musical endeavor spearheaded by the ever-prolific Spencer Krug (Sunset Rubdown, Wolf Parade, Swan Lake). “Faraway Lightning,” from Heartbreaking Bravery (Jagjaguwar), is a trudging synth march typical of Krug’s grandiose writing style. Although the video uses cut-out animation, it doesn’t undermine the song, and the narrative shown reflects the epic themes in the music and prose. Watch it below.
