“It’s Only Life,” off the Shins‘ Port Of Morrow (Aural Apothecary/Columbia), is about getting older, struggling to get through the hard times. The video juxtaposes footage of James Mercer drifting downward with footage of a boy living out childhood, exploring a forest with his dog and shooting off fireworks. It’s a pretty straight forward message, and Mercer says it best himself: “The future’s calling.” Watch it below.
