Don’t get excited. It’s not what it sounds like. Nude Beach is a Brooklyn three-piece directly descended from rock ‘n’ roll’s fathers and greatest figures. The band’s energetic, unadulterated sound is often compared to Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and the Replacements. So if you came to today’s Film At 11 looking for, you know, a nude beach, you’ll be disappointed. Instead, you get a look at the jubilant experience of a New York DIY house concert, complete with kegs of beer and boxes of pizza. It’s straight forward and accessible song called “Walkin’ Down My Street,” and you’ll want to go something just like it live in a city near you. Luckily for you, Nude Beach will be on tour to promote their new album, II (Other Music). Get ready for them by watching “Walkin’ Down My Street” below. If anything, it’s probably the closest you’ll get to a nude beach for a while.
