Ariel Pink, the dark-horse candidate for a “lady’s man,” never falls short of quirky or sexual deviancy. “Only In My Dreams” starts off with our protagonist, Ariel Pink, being thrown out by a main flame, only to return with four girls with the intention of group-related activities (cough … orgy … cough). In the style of VHS recording and pixelized graphics, the track, off Mature Themes (4AD), has a taste of the Cure with whimsical fantasies of sex and lust.
