Saw Willie Nile last night in Ann Arbor. He and the band just killed in front of an audience that for the most part didn’t know him or his work (I saw him in NYC 32 years ago and have been eagerly anticipating this show ever since I saw it announced). I’m nearly 63. Willie is 65. If I had half his energy and dynamism, I’d live to 1000. For one night, I did.
The new Gary Murray and LN comes out next week too. They’re not on this list.
Hugh’s new album is filled with songs that’s easy to remember from the first times you hear them 🙂
