Film At 11: Adam Franklin & Bolts Of Melody

Swervedriver frontman Adam Franklin and backing band Bolts Of Melody recently released Black Horses. The LP’s opening track is “Asha,” and we are proud to premiere the song’s video today on magnetmagazine.com. Says Franklin, “There was something undeniably ‘exotic’ about the sampled sound on ‘Asha’ of the Indian sarangi instrument, which I first heard on a mixtape someone gave me in the ’90s, and so we wanted to create a video that was like almost like a mixtape of exotic images where everything flies by you at the speed of light and it’s like a bombardment of the senses. The recording itself has all sorts of sounds nestling in the far corners of the sonic spectrum, and I think the video reflects that.” Watch “Asha” below.
