Dean Wareham has reeled in his signature nasally voice over the years, but his simple songwriting pulls on the heartstrings just as much as it did 25 years ago. The video for “Love Is Colder Than Death,” off the Emancipated Hearts EP, is as drab as one would think, all black-and-white shots of Wareham that occasionally drip with color. Although neither the video nor the song are by any means groundbreaking, both are simultaneously comforting and aloof, not to mention well worth the time. Watch the clip below.
