I Can’t Stop is the latest release from the legendary BoDeans, who started making music together more than 30 years ago. The band will be touring throughout the rest of the year, but in the meantime, frontman Kurt Neumann, multi-instrumentalist Sam Hawksley and drummer Kenny Aronoff will be guest editing magnetmagazine.com all week.
Neumann: Time flies. Time waits for no one. You’re wasting time. Out of time. And so on … We have many sayings about time. Like it’s a commodity. Something to hold on to or save up. And I guess it is. Everything and nothing … all at once. Maybe more of a measuring stick, measuring our human lives. And if so, maybe the most valuable thing, or no-thing, we have. Except we don’t “have” it. More, it has us. More and more I realize this. Time is of the essence. To make the most, or best, of it. Guess it means I’m getting old. I like what Dr. Seuss said about it. “How did it get so late so soon?”
