With a record called Transatlantic, one would think that the Deltahorse’s new set of tunes would recall the macabre indie rock defined by Death Cab For Cutie, but the band’s latest track, “Call It A Day,” draws from a different sort of darkness. “Let’s get carried away,” Vadim Zeberg sings over a deep, fuzzy bass, bringing forth an image of romance without thought of consequence in an almost post-punkish framing.
