Jordan Burchel will end 2016 with a new record, Vowel Sounds, which comes out December 16. The Florida songwriter shows off a little bit of a Bon Iver side on “Why They Call You Blue,” a resolutely isolated song that finds Burchel laying out a crumbling situation atop a shaded, lonely sonic canvas.
