Through sheer force of will and dedication to her craft, Bleached frontwoman Jennifer Clavin waged a charm offensive that ably distracted the Boot & Saddle crowd while sister Jessica Clavin wrestled mightily with her misbehaving guitar. In the end, their impeccable pep and pop/rock chops—perfectly encapsulated in the back-to-back “Valley To LA” and “Sleepwalking”—carried the day.
The Paranoyds—like Bleached, hailing from Los Angeles—were righteous in their own right, warming up the Philadelphia crowd with a taut set of fuzz-forward tuneage.
