The Dream Syndicate is back with its third LP, The Universe Inside (Anti-), since re-forming in 2012, and it’s a glorious, groovy, improvisational mess of an album. Led as always by Steve Wynn—who also plays in the Baseball Project with drummer/wife Linda Pitmon and R.E.M./Minus 5 members Peter Buck, Mike Mills and Scott McCaughey—the Dream Syndicate has once again delivered a collection of songs we need in these times. Wynn has also just released Solo! Acoustic Vol 1, a collection of re-recorded songs from his back catalog available only on Bandcamp.
