50 years ago today, the third Isle Of Wight festival kicked off in England. Boasting a lineup including the Who, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Miles Davis, Leonard Cohen, Sly And The Family Stone and Joni Mitchell, the fest was the biggest live gathering of its time, substantially larger than Woodstock.
