Spirit Of The Beehive: Recording a record without being in the same room was a new and bizarre experience. Sending emails back and forth constantly for mix notes and edits was something we had to get used to.
Perhaps one of the “positive” aspects of this was having no real time constraints when mixing. There was plenty of time to learn new recording techniques and make sure every song ended up exactly how we envisioned it.
Once we did finally see each other in person, it was nice to check out the mixes in a car together.
