There’s a night watch through the field, dark and all alone. Come the morning half light, there’s a tree across the road. Horses rear up twisting putting holes in the stone.
Heaven runs the pinpoint. Echo’s pulse is deep. Red eyes in the picture, echo drops at my feet. In this transpired distance, I reason off the cold. A mire of indifference, echo spills across the road.
I’m here until you find me, I shiver echo’s cold.
