Five years ago, I livestreamed a Mecca Normal rehearsal from my front room. I flipped the video so Dave would be playing guitar correctly. We’d recently done three shows opening for the Julie Ruin, and no doubt we planned to record new songs and tour. Strange to see us in less-oppressive times, laughing and joking around. Pre-pleas for kindness, consideration and calm.
