To quote the great Robyn Hitchcock, “It was really hard to avoid the ‘80s if you were there.” It’s still hard to avoid the ‘80s, but that’s not a bad thing when it comes to a music fest like Cruel World. With performances from some of alternative rock’s best and brightest from The Decade Of Greed, Cruel World was a two-day ‘80s extravaganza featuring the same lineup both days. (You can’t expect old people to attend festivals that last a whole weekend, can you?) MAGNET photographer Wes Orshoski said hello Cruel World, and he got ‘80s love his way, one way or another.
