Not sure what was on my mind when I wrote these lyrics circa 1993, but there’s something very compelling about them now. Apparently, there’s a tunnel to the sun from the hermit’s house, but something is blocking the hermit from going there. Something internal is holding the hermit in what feels like the past. Never moving toward the sun, warm, summer, happiness.
