In recent interviews about his new book, Prophet Against Slavery, Benjamin Lay, A Graphic Novel, David Lester has been pointing out that Lay, an early and vociferous anti-slavery activist (circa 1700s), was in his 50s when he began his radical guerrilla theater tactics.
