“From Above” is just another silly love song. And Ebed “Bed” Moreno seems OK with that.
“Love is such a unique feeling—it’s almost otherworldly,” says Bed’s singer, guitarist and namesake. “How a kiss can take you out of your body and how a touch can ground you.”
An underground product of California’s high desert, Bed is celebrating the reissue of its 2022 self-titled debut (Quiet Panic) with a new video for “From Above” and a string of shows throughout the U.S. that should bring out post-hardcore/shoegaze devotees of all stripes. The track itself was recorded with producer Alex Estrada (Joyce Manor, Touché Amoré, Nails) at his The Pale Moon Ranch studio in the San Gabriel Mountains. For the video, the band worked with director Marcus Felix.
“Marcus understood and captured the essence of the song with his psychedelic mixed-media visuals,” says Moreno. “We love how he combined that with live footage to create an atmosphere where the song lives.”
