The 50th anniversary of the Beach Boys is being celebrated in a big way this year. An album featuring 11 new tracks, That’s Why God Made The Radio, is due June 5 from Capitol/EMI, and the band’s founding members recently embarked on an international reunion tour, which will include stops at several major festivals this summer. Commemorative catalog releases and national television and radio appearances are also in the works … Alanis Morissette is releasing her seventh studio album, Havoc And Bright Lights, on August 28 via Collective Sounds/Sony RED … On August 8, Duran Duran will kick off a North American tour in support of latest album, All You Need Is Now. Preceding the tour will be the July release of A Diamond In The Mind (Eagle Rock), a live DVD, CD and Blu-ray featuring the band’s December performance at the MEN Arena in Manchester … The 1991 album from Lenny Kravitz, Mama Said, has been digitally remastered and expanded as a deluxe edition, which includes 21 bonus tracks and previously unreleased material. It’s due from Virgin/EMI on June 5 … Belle & Sebastian’s Stevie Jackson is issuing his debut solo project on July 3. (I Can’t Get No) Stevie Jackson is being released via Belle & Sebastian’s Banchory label…. The prolific Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine, Nightwatchman, Street Sweeper Social Club) has just released his World Wide Rebel Tour documentary film. There are 42 unique, country-specific versions of the 30-minute film in 30 different languages, and it’s available to stream or download for free here … Silencio is the sophomore solo effort from Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab), due out from Drag City on July 24 … Loud & Proud/Roadrunner has announced the August 21 release of Last Of A Dying Breed, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s new studio album … Jellyfish is set to issue its first official live album, Jellyfish: Live At Bogart’s, on July 3 via Omnivore Recordings. It features the band’s 1991 performance in Long Beach, Calif., and includes five previously unissued performances … 21 of the best-known Kylie Minogue songs, chosen by fans, have been compiled as a greatest-hits album by EMI. The Best Of Kylie Minogue is out on June 19.
