Yeah Yeah Yeahs will appear on Conan tonight at the tail end of its North American tour. Frontwoman Karen O guarantees a captivating wardrobe and engaging performance no matter what, where or if she sings. The New Yorkers’ U.K. tour will begin November 29, as the band continues to promote It’s Blitz!, its spring baby.
Last Call With Carson Daly (NBC): Pete Yorn
Carson will host Yorn as he promotes new LP Break Up, which he recorded with Scarlet Johansson. Apparently pairing with Yorn has improved the actress’ musical reputation. Maybe he can do the same for Carson.
The Colbert Report (Comedy Central): The Flaming Lips
The Lips will grace The Colbert Report with their creative minds tonight. The band is finishing up its psychedelic tour of the U.S. and taking its elaborate show overseas. The Lips will be spreading the word on its 12th album, Embryonic (due October 13), which will be available online immediately after tonight’s appearance through September 21. Watch out: The world may implode when Stephen Colbert and Wayne Coyne’s powers combine.
