These Athens, Ga., natives have had a bumpy road, with major-label disputes before they even released their debut back in 2006. But that hasn’t kept the Whigs down. They return with album number three, In The Dark (ATO), in early 2010. If “Hundred/Million” is any indication, In The Dark should be everything we’re expecting and more: a grimy, aggressive slice of garage lightened with a hint of the Stones.
