2009—or “the year of the Deer Tick,” as the band’s website proclaims—has been quite prolific for the gravelly voiced, upright-bass-twanging gang from Providence, R.I. June saw the release of Deer Tick‘s second album, Born On Flag Day, followed by incessant touring (with the likes of Jenny Lewis and Neko Case) through the summer and fall, and now there’s a new EP, More Fuel For The Fire (Partisan). Deer Tick brings fans an early holiday gift with these four tracks that, until now, could only be heard at live shows.
