MP3 At 3PM: Drink Up Buttercup

DUB55 Leave it to Andrew W.K. to bring the party. He recently teamed up with Drink Up Buttercup to remix the band’s latest single, “Even Think.” The remix preserves the Philadelphia group’s Beatlesque harmonies and ’60s psychedelic grooves but sheds its gritty garage sound in exchange for pounding bass and spinning disco balls. The end result is a blistering dance track that it will have you jumping up on the furniture and singing along until you vomit. Drink Up Buttercup will release a new full-length on Yep Roc in early 2010.
