The brother/sister duo of William and Amy Bennett, collectively known as the White Ravens, is self-releasing its sophomore album, Gargoyles And Weathervanes, on July 6. Hailing from Ann Arbor, Mich., the Bennetts have been making music together for the last six years; they started when William was 11 and Amy was 12. The follow-up to the band’s self-titled debut features former Billy Joel drummer Liberty DeVitto laying down the rhythm tracks. “Sparks,” the first single from the upcoming LP, is a bright and happy number with a really sharp bass line that fills out the piano’s melody nicely. Devitto’s drumming is a fine complement to Amy and William’s musical talents. And here’s a bonus mp3 of album track “Tick Tock.”
