After a three-year hiatus and some self-discovery (plus a stint in the circus for one member), the Concretes are back. And this time, they’ve moved on to a new scene: disco. Or rather, as explained on their MySpace page, “disco dreaming on being elsewhere.” Less Bee Gees and more Eurythmics, the Concretes take advantage of our digital age on “Good Evening,” the first single from WYWH (out November 8 via Friendly Fire Recordings). It’s a song with a new-age pulse, crystallized keys and a heavy bass for a new kind of groovin’. Lisa Milberg’s slight Stockholm accent adds even more sophistication to the sound; you can imagine “Good Morning” playing in the background as you speed through the city in someone’s sleek black car.
