Capitol Years frontman Shai Halperin has conjured up Sweet Lights, a solo project that has spawned a self-titled debut album with many a catchy track. His most recent video is for single “You Won’t Be There.” Mixed in his South Philadelphia apartment, the tune is one part Eels, one part Wilco and one part “I’m drinking away my feelings with the shades drawn.” The video is a Yoko & John aww-fest, running clips of the twosome holding hands and walking through foliage. A nice tribute to Lennon, whose 70th birthday recently passed. Speaking of Halperin and late Beatles, check out Sweet Lights’ cover of the Traveling Wilburys’ “Handle With Care.”
