We’ve always been big fans of rock music coming from New Zealand. (Check out last year’s Lost Classics entry on the subject.) So we are thrilled to add Surf City to the list of Kiwi bands we love. The group’s debut album, Kudos, is out via the great Fire label on November 30, and it’s the follow-up to Surf City’s self-titled 2007 EP. The quartet used to be called Kill Surf City (get the Jesus And Mary Chain reference?) but shortened it because there was at least one other band that already had the moniker.
