The legendary Gil Scott-Heron released I’m New Here, his first album in more than 15 years, back in February. Now, Jamie xx (of the xx) has remixed 13 of the tracks from the recording sessions for that LP, and XL/Young Turks will release the results on February 22. We’re New Here will be available in a number of formats, including a really cool vinyl boxed set. Here’s the video for first single “New York Is Killing Me,” which was directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, who have worked extensively with Nick Cave.
